Working in nature — how our team disguised one of our projects to keep Idaho beautiful!
As a crew that works in North Idaho, Washington and Montana, we know that the outdoors and nature are important to our customers — it’s important to us, too! That’s why our team works hard to meet any requests or restrictions by landowners, whether they’re a private party or the state and federal government.
Our team recently completed a job that some of our Coeur d’Alene clients might recognize. We installed and worked on a cell and communication tower on a remote mountaintop above Beauty Bay on Lake Coeur d’Alene. However, if you’re looking for it, you may need to pull out your binoculars and search — we disguised the cell tower to look like a tree!
After using a 100-ton hydraulic crane with a 198-foot boom for a personnel platform lift to set up the tower, we worked up and down the tower to attach branches, forming a tree-shape.
We do this to blend the tower into its natural surroundings, and keep North Idaho’s skyline free of obtrusive-looking infrastructure.
